In pass, they were considered as creatures which controled some natural phenomena, rain (water), wind, thunder, clouder... However, dragons which could control water were mentioned most. They were considered as gods ruling seas and rivers. Because, the lives of ancients associated with agriculture so water-dragons were gods of them. They worshiped and respected them.
Almost dragons can transform. They can turned small or big, can transform into human or other animal, can appear and disappear. Sometime, they met people's wishes.
They can hear and speak languages, including human language.
Dragons are spawn creature. The only lay an egg after great many years. Egg shell are considered as the most precious on the world, more colorful, glittering and beautiful than the most beautiful gems. Broken shell pieces still have great value after that. Dragons don't hatch so their eggs are always hid in dangerous places, are guarded by other creatures or buried under ground deeply. Baby dragons will break out after years, decades or mabe centeries. All baby dragons had great strength and gigantic bodies. They are stronger than every creatures on the world. They also own ability controling nature. Of course they are smart and may be more knowledge than human if they live after many years.
Though no one could prove it's real, some ancient people believed that they had ever seen real dragon. They believed that drangon brought prosperity to places they appeared.
Whatever, dragons are woderful creatures. They symbolized power, intelligence and authority of kings.
