Bài 1.5: Cách sử dụng at, on, in cho thời gian, ngày, tháng, năm, mùa.

1.      At
At sunset
=
at the time when the sun sets
At sunrise
=
at the time when the surises
·        At the morning when I saw him, I lost my wallet.
Vì vậy bạn có thể yên tâm sử dụng at last morning, at last noon,….at last + đơn vị thời gian nhỏ hơn ngày ở trong quá khứ đơn giản vì bạn không thể “at last morning” rồi để đó, bạn phải có hành động đi kèm chứ.
·        I will see him in the morning (Tôi sẽ gặp anh ấy vào buổi sáng nhưng tôi không chắc chắn được là 8:00 hay 9:00…)
Dù vậy bạn không thể nói: I lost my wallet in the last morning (last là một từ đặc biệt bạn chỉ có thể dùng "at" khi nó kết hợp với một đơn vị thời gian nhỏ hơn ngày)
Tiện đây thì mình cũng giúp các bạn sử dụng at morning, at afternoon… at+ một đơn vị thời gian trong ngày như thế nào. Xem ví dụ: The sun rises at morning.
Bạn thấy sự khác biệt với cách sử dụng “at the morning” hay “in the morning không”. Trong khi “at the morning” ám chỉ một khoảnh khắc gắn với một hành động cụ thể nào đó, thì “in the morning” gắn vói một hành động nhưng chưa và không xác định được chính xác thời gian; thì at morning dung để gắn với một hành động mang tính chu kỳ có thời gian rõ ràng (the sun rises at 6:00 am everyday) nhưng ở đây nói không quan tâm tới buổi sáng (morning) của ngày hôm nào nó không quan trọng vì sự việc mang tính chu kỳ nên họ dung “at” và bỏ “the”.
2.      On
a.      Các ngày trong tuần:
·        On Monday
·        On Tuesday
·        On Wednesday
·        On Thursday
·        On Friday
·        On Saturday
·        On Chrismast Day
·        On Independence Day
·        On Easter Day
·        On my birthday
·        On New Year’s Eve. Bạn cũng có thể thể nói: on the day I met him hoặc I will meet him on a day. Tức bạn có thể sử dụng “on” cho bất cứ ngày nào miễn là nó là một dù ngày đấy đã xác định hay chưa.
Chú ý: Bạn phải sử dụng như sau:
ON + ngày trong tuần + đơn vị thời gian trong ngày
AT + những ngày đặc biệt bỏ "day" (không biết nên gọi là gì?)
on Tuesday morning
at Christmas
on Sartuday afternoon
at Easter
on Sunday afternoons
at Independence

b.      Các ngày trong tháng
·        On December 1st/ on Dec 1st
c.      Các ngày trong năm
Có ba các thể hiên ngày đi kèm với tháng và năm bạn có thể thấy vói ví dụ sau:
·        On Wednesday, 6th January, 2009/ on Wednesday, December 3rd , 2008/  on Wednesday, December the third, two thousand and eight
·        On August the 9th, 2007
·        On 9/8/2007
Tiện đây mình cũng trình bày luôn cách viết ngày tháng năm bạn thường gặp:
1.      6th of January, 2009 (không phổ biến)
2.      January the 6th, 2009/ Jan the 6th, 2009 (phổ biến)
3.      In
·        In the days I lived in Vietnam
·        In holidays
·        In spring
·        In season
·        In 1990
·        In Octobor
·        In the 21st century

Hẹn gặp lại !!!
