146. Sự tích hoa hồng đen

Ngày xưa, tại một thành phố xa xôi đầy cát bụi và nóng nực, người dân đối xử tồi tệ với nhau và họ còn khuyên nhắc vợ con, bạn bè phải thù ghét lẫn nhau, và các mối thù được truyền đi từ thế hệ này qua thế hệ khác. Để ngăn chặn ẩu đả, nhà vua ban hành một đạo luật ngăn cấm việc gây lộn ngoài đường phố và kẻ phạm pháp sẽ bị xử tử hình. Cũng tại thành phố này, có hai gia đình hàng xóm nọ đã thù nhau truyền kiếp.

Trong một gia đình ấy, khi thấy con trai mình không được vui tươi, cha mẹ chàng trai hỏi thăm bạn bè của chàng mới khám phá ra rằng chàng đang yêu một cô gái, cô gái ấy là ai thì chưa ai biết vì chàng giữ rất kín tên tuổi. Để tìm hiểu và khích lệ con trai, gia đình chàng tổ chức tiệc nhẹ và mời tất cả các gia đình láng giềng đến dự.

Vào đêm tiệc đó, chàng trai đã gặp và trò chuyện cùng cô gái mình mơ ước. Cô gái ấy chính là con gái của gia đình thù địch. Có lẽ chính lý do này mà chàng trai luôn bí mật về danh tính của nàng. Đêm đó, cả hai kẻ yêu nhau đã trốn ra ngoài, thề thốt với nhau và quyết định kết hôn trong vòng bí mật. Cả hai nhờ một tu sĩ đồng ý sẽ làm lễ cưới cho đôi trẻ với niềm hy vọng rằng cuộc hôn nhân của chúng sẽ chấm dứt mối hận thù lâu đời giữa hai gia đình.

Không ngờ anh họ của cô gái phát giác, vốn thù hằn từ trước nên liền thách đấu sinh tử với chàng trai. Kết thúc trận đấu, dù chàng trai chiến thắng và không giết ông anh họ cô gái như đã giao kết từ đầu, nhưng anh họ cô gái cảm thấy bị xúc phạm nặng nề nên đã tự vẫn ngay sau đó. Cái chết ông anh họ cô gái như dầu đổ vào lửa vốn đã mâu thuẫn của hai gia đình. Nên để tránh công kích, chàng trai bèn trốn ở nhà tờ của vị tu sĩ với hy vọng mọi chuyện sẽ dần nguôi ngoai. Nhưng khi đến nơi thì không gặp tu sĩ vì ông vừa đi truyền giáo ở tỉnh bên cạnh.

Còn cô gái hay tin xấu liền tìm đến vị tu sĩ để hỏi cách tháo gỡ. Và họ lại gặp nhau nơi mà cả hai thề nguyền ước hẹn. Họ bàn tính kế trốn đi nơi khác nhưng không được vì khi ấy cả hai đều bị nhà chức trách tìm kiếm hết sức gắt gao nhất là chàng trai do nghi ngờ chàng là hung thủ giết người. Mọi việc lâm vào bế tắc, không tìm được lối thoát, cả hai ra ngoài mua thuốc độc và hoa hồng để ôm nhau cùng hoa hồng chờ chết. Nhưng thuốc không đủ liều nên cả hai dùng dao tự sát. Máu của họ hòa vào nhau rơi vào bó hoa làm hoa trở nên đen ánh.

Cái chết của cả hai làm mọi người hết sức xúc động nhất là hai gia đình hiềm hích đó. Họ cũng tìm được nguyên nhân cái chết của anh họ cô gái qua bức thư tuyệt mệnh của cả hai người để lại. Cái chết bi thương của hai người trẻ tuổi đã đoàn kết lại hai gia đình trong nỗi sầu muộn. Không phải bằng cuộc sống mà bằng cõi chết, hai kẻ thương yêu nhau đã mang lại hòa bình cho các gia đình. Bó hoa họ cầm được mọi người trồng lại để tưởng nhớ cả hai. Màu hoa hồng luôn đen như buồn rầu nhưng lại bất tử với thời gian...........
