145. Chuyện cổ tích về loài bướm

một thị trấn nhỏ êm đềm và thơ mộng kia có đôi nam nữ rất yêu nhau. Họ cùng tựa vào nhau trên đỉnh núi cùng ngắm cảnh bình minh và cùng tiễn những ánh chiều tà trên biển. Mọi người nhìn họ với ánh mắt ngưỡng mộ và thầm cầu chúc cho họ hạnh phúc.

Nhưng rồi bỗng một hôm, người con trai không may bị thương rất nặng. Anh nằm trong bệnh viện mấy ngày mấy đêm vẫn chưa tỉnh lại. Ban ngày, cô gái luôn ngồi trước giường anh và không ngừng gọi tên anh. Buổi tối, cô tới nhà thờ nhỏ trong thị trấn để cầu nguyện. Cô gái dường như đã khóc cạn nước mắt.

Một tuần trôi qua, chàng trai vẫn chưa tỉnh lại. Cô gái đã rất tiều tụy nhưng vẫn chăm sóc anh rất tận tình. Tình yêu của cô đã làm Chúa Trời cảm động, và Ngài đã quyết định dành cho cô gái một ngoại lệ. Ngài nói: "Ta có thể làm cho người yêu cô nhanh chóng khỏi bệnh, nhưng cô phải hóa thành bướm trong vòng ba năm. Cô có đồng ý như thế không?". Cô gái nghe xong rất cảm động và nói một cách dứt khoát: "Con đồng ý".

Trời sáng, cô gái đã biến thành một con bướm rất đẹp. Cô từ biệt Chúa Trời và bay ngay tới bệnh viện. Quả nhiên, chàng trai đã tỉnh lại. Anh đang trò chuyện với bác sĩ, nhưng rất tiếc cô lại không nói được.
Mấy ngày sau chàng trai xuất viện nhưng không hề vui vẻ. Anh hỏi những người thân về tin tức của cô gái, nhưng không một ai biết người yêu anh bây giờ đang ở đâu. Chàng trai cả ngày không ăn không nghỉ, nhất mực đi tìm người yêu. Trong khi đó, cô gái biến thành bướm kia bay qua bay lại bên cạnh anh; chỉ có điều cô không thể gọi tên anh, không thể trò chuyện cùng anh mà chỉ có thể lặng lẽ đón nhận ánh mắt vô hồn của anh.

Mùa hè qua đi, những cơn gió mùa thu mát mẻ thổi rơi những chiếc lá, cô gái phải rời khỏi nơi này. Ngày cuối cùng cô bay tới đậu lên vai của chàng trai. Cô muốn dùng đôi cánh bé nhỏ của mình vuốt ve lên mặt anh, dùng đôi môi nhỏ xíu của mình hôn lên trán anh, nhưng thân hình nhỏ bé của cô không đủ để anh nhận ra.

Trong chớp mắt, mùa xuân của năm thứ hai đã tới. Cô vội bay về tìm người yêu của mình, nhưng đứng bên cạnh anh lúc này là một cô gái rất xinh đẹp. Cô khựng lại, dường như đang rơi từ lưng chừng trời xuống. Người ta kể rằng vào mùa giáng sinh ấy bệnh của anh càng trầm trọng hơn, người ta cũng kể rằng cô bác sỹ ấy đã chăm sóc anh chu đáo như thế nào và người ta nói rằng tình yêu của họ là lẽ đương nhiên. Tất nhiên người ta cũng không quên miêu tả rằng chàng trai đã vui vẻ trở lại.
Cô gái vô cùng đau khổ, mấy ngày tiếp theo, cô thường thấy người yêu của mình dẫn cô bác sỹ ấy lên đỉnh núi ngắm bình minh và họ cùng ra biển tiễn hoàng hôn. Còn cô không thể làm được gì khác ngoài vài lần đậu trên vai của anh.

Mùa hè năm đó dài đằng đẵng, hàng ngày cô bay rất thấp trong đau khổ, cô không còn dũng khí để đến gần người yêu. Những lời nói thì thầm, những tiếng cười vui vẻ của họ làm cô tủi thân.
Mùa hè của năm thứ ba, bướm đã không thường xuyên bay tới thăm người yêu nữa. Người yêu của cô đã ôm vai, hôn lên má cô bác sỹ và anh chắc cũng không còn tâm tư để hoài niệm về những ngày đã qua. Thời gian ba năm sắp hết, trong ngày cuối cùng, người yêu của cô đã tổ chức hôn lễ với cô bác sỹ. Cô nhẹ nhàng bay vào trong nhà thờ đậu lên vai của Chúa và nghe thấy người yêu của cô ở dưới thề rằng: "Tôi đồng ý". Cô nhìn thấy anh đeo nhẫn cho vợ, và sau đó là nụ hôn ngọt ngào của họ. Cô đã rơi những giọt lệ xót xa. Chúa Trời thở dài một cách xót xa: "Con có hối hận không?". Cô lau khô những giọt nước mắt: "Không ạ!".
