339. Truyền thuyết ngày Valentine..........

Ngày Valentine được bắt đầu từ thời kì đế chế La Mã. Dưới thời La Mã cổ đại, ngày 14 tháng 2 là ngày tưởng nhớ Juno. Juno là nữ hoàng của các nam thần và nữ thần La Mã. Người La Mã cũng coi bà là nữ thần cai quản phụ nữ và hôn nhân. Ngày tiếp theo của ngày 14 tháng 2, ngày 15 tháng 2 là ngày đầu tiên của lễ hội Lupercalia. Cuộc sống của các chàng trai và cô gái trẻ bị ngăn cấm vô cùng hà khắc. Tuy vậy, họ vẫn có thể đến với nhau thông qua phong tục rút thăm tên nhau. Vào đêm hôm trước ngày hội Lupercalia, tên của những cô gái La Mã được viết lên một mảnh giấy nhỏ và được cho vào trong các bình đựng. Mỗi một chàng trai trẻ sẽ rút thăm một cái tên bất kì và sau đó chàng trở thành bạn của cô gái mà anh ta chọn trong suốt thời gian diễn ra lễ hội. Ðôi khi, việc kết đôi của đôi bạn trẻ kéo dài suốt cả một năm ròng và thông thường họ yêu nhau và sau đó thì cưới nhau. 

Dưới sự trị vì của Hoàng đế Claudius đệ nhị, đế chế La Mã tham gia nhiều cuộc chinh phạt đẫm máu và không được người dân ủng hộ. Claudius bạo chúa gặp phải khó khăn khi động viên các chàng trai trẻ gia nhập vào đội chiến binh của ông ta. Claudius bạo chúa cho rằng nguyên nhân chính là đàn ông La Mã không muốn rời xa gia đình hay người yêu của mình. Bởi vậy, Claudius ra lệnh cấm tất cả các đám cưới hoặc lễ đính hôn ở thành La Mã. Thánh Valentine tốt bụng là một linh mục ở thành La Mã dưới thời Claudius đệ nhị. Ông cùng thánh Marius đã giúp đỡ những người Cơ Ðốc giáo phải chịu cảnh đọa đầy và cho những cặp vợ chồng bí mật cưới nhau. Vì hành động nhân ái này mà thánh đã bị bắt giam và bị kéo lê trước mặt tên thái thú thành La Mã. Hắn đã xử thánh Valentine phải bị đánh bằng gậy đến chết và sau đó phải bị chặt đầu. Valentine phải chịu cuộc hành hình vào đúng ngày 14 tháng 2 vào khoảng năm 270 TCN. Vào thời gian này đang diễn ra một phong tục truyền thống của người dân thành La Mã, thực ra đó là một lễ hội rất cổ xưa được tổ chức vào tháng 2, lễ hội Lupercalia, lễ hội để nhớ đến một vị thần của người La Mã. Vào dịp này, trong số rất nhiều các nghi lễ thì có một lễ rút thăm một cách ngẫu nhiên tên của các cô gái trẻ trong những chiếc bình như là một trò chơi may rủi của tình yêu. Các mục sư từ những nhà thờ Cơ Ðốc giáo ở La Mã đã cố gắng loại bỏ yếu tố ngoại đạo bằng cách thay thế bằng tên của các vị thánh cho những ngày hội của các thiếu nữ này. Bởi lễ hội Lupercalia bắt đầu vào giữa tháng 2, có vẻ như các mục sư đã chọn ngày Thánh Valentine làm ngày kỉ niệm cho lễ hội mới này. Như vậy, dường như phong tục các chàng trai trẻ chọn các thiếu nữ làm người yêu của mình (trong dịp Valentine) hay chọn cho mình các vị thánh bảo hộ cho năm tới cũng phát sinh từ đây. 
Tinh yeu la gi?

Một chàng trai đưa cô bạn gái thân vào quán uống nước.Sau khi người phục vụ đặt hai cốc nước trắng lên bàn và đợi thì cô gái chợt đặt ra một câu hỏi:

- Đố anh biet " Tình Yêu " là gì ?

Chàng trai mím cười quay sang cô phục vụ và nói:

- cho toi một ấm trà, một cốc cà fê đen, một cốc cà fê sữa, một ly rươu vang và một ly sâm panh.

Sau khi mọi thứ đã được mang ra, chàng trai lấy ấm trà và uống chén đầu tiên.

Anh ta nói:

-Tình yêu như ấm trà này. Khi ta uống nước đầu sẽ rất đậm đà, nước thứ hai sẽ dìu dịu thanh thanh. Còn nươc thứ ba thì sao ?

Tình yêu không như ấm trà này bởi sau nước thứ ba ấm trà sẽ không còn hương vị ban đầu.

Anh ta lại nhấp một ngụm cà fê đen và nói:

-Tình yêu mang hương vị của cốc cà fê này, lúc đầu có thể phải trải qua vị đắng nhưng dần dần vị ngọt và thơm sẽ ngấm dần vào mỗi người.

-Nhưng tình yêu không như cốc cà fê sữa. Uống cà fê sữa ta sẽ cảm thấy ngay vị ngọt, vị ngọt của nó đến rất nhanh và đi rất nhanh. Còn tình yêu không như vậy.

Dứt lời anh ta đổ cốc cà fê ấy đi và nói:

-Tình yêu như ly rươu này, nó thật nồng nàn, ấm áp và êm đềm.

Anh ta lại uống ly sâm panh

-Không ! Tình yêu không thể là thứ nước khai vị chua loét này được.

Chàng trai lo lắng vì không tìm được câu trả lời. Bất chợt anh ta nhìn thấy cốc nước trắng trên bàn. Anh ta reo lên.

Đúng rồi, hãy nhìn cốc nước kia, nó thật tinh khiết và giản dị. Rượu cà fê và trà cũng phải bắt nguồn từ nước. Tình yêu cũng như vậy, cái nồng nàn, ngọt ngào, êm đềm và cay đắng cũng phải xuất phát từ lòng chân thành và những điều giản dị nhất. Bạn ạ !

Tình yêu là cốc nước trắng.

Cô gái ngồi im, đôi mắt mở to. Và rồi cô từ từ nhấc ly nước lên và từ từ đặt vào tay chàng trai.

Chàng trai đã hiểu rằng, anh ta đã có một câu trả lời đúng...

In  days of spring, 1010 Thai To Ly king and some courtiers went to his hometown on a ship. They went from Hoa Lu capital (Ninh Binh province) to Co Phap (now, Bac ninh province) on a ship.
