"Daugter! Daughter!" She called, "I need a doctor. I can't move. Thought I got sick".
The little girl left immediately one she heard her mother. This village had no doctor so she had to go to other village. Though she was on the way, she was distracted by bad mood. The person she loved most her mother was lying on bed with disease. The thinhking wandered in his head all time that made her not to pay attention any thing.
"Where are you going , litte girl?" said a warm voice.
She stopped looked at where the voice came from. There was an old man who had a kind face. The silvery hair and beard surround his face made him look more and more kindly. However, the little girl seemed not pay much attention at that. What she saw was an elder.
"I am on the way to doctor' s house." she said by the polite way that she used to do before elders.
"My mother get sick. It's serious she can not leave her bed" she added.
"You don't need to go anywhere." said the elder still by the warm voice, "I am a doctor. Let me to your home, I will examine her."
The little girl got rid of her worry she happily led the elder to her home.
The elder went to the mother at one the time he arrived to the house. He examined her for awhile.
"She's getting in danger. It's so serious, her disease but I will try my best". Each word the elder said dropped on the little girl's heart it made her heart so heavy. "I need a flower" added the elder, "It grow beside an ancient tree standing at the edge of forest. You will realize the ancient tree as he come and you also realize the flower. What I need to do is picking the flower to me. I will use it to cure your mother".
The little girl left. It turned very cold outside. She at that time wore very thin clothes. Winds passed through her clothes, brought cold rubbed on her skin. Her feet turned pained cause she had walked too long. However, the little girl with her big love giving to her mother didn't stop. She went and went till she saw ancient tree in the distance. She rushed to the tree. There was a white flower stood beside that tree. She knew at one that's the flower she was finding. As soon as she picked the flower up, a voice whispered in her ear.
"How many petals the flower has, how many days your mother live."
Her little heart seemed to broken as she looked at the flower on her hand. She carefully counted petala.
"One, two..." she counted. It ended at twenty. That meant her mother only lived twenty days from the time. Her heart's broken again. However, she didn't fall down. Though she was very little, she had a big heart wich contained great love for her mother and which also led her to do something to save her mother. She stood still, thought for a while. After that she started tearing the petals. Each petal was tore in many many pieces. When all of the petals was torn, she felt more satisfied because the flower now had many of petals that she couldn't count. Each little spotless white would give her mother a day to live.
She brought the flower ran as fast as she could back home. From the distance she could see the elder who was standing front of her home waiting for her. The elder gave her a nice smile.
"Your mother was cure", he said, "That's the present for your big love she will live with you long time."
That's the story of marigold the flower symbolized for great love of sons and daughters for their parents.
The flower always bloomed in the fall beautifull and bright as live the love children give parents.
