Invisible cloak

Trieu was born in Cao Bang. He worked as a fisher. Though he didn’t have much more than tools which helped him catch fish, Trieu was kindness person he used to buy food and divided to poor people whenever he caught many fish. Therefore, people living in the area respected him so much.
Later, Trieu moved to Thai Nguyen and fished. At there, he had saved many people. One day, he walked to home more early than normal because he didn’t catch any fish and met an old man who was lying by road. The man lay under a tree without clothes he trembled whenever wind swept cross his body. Trieu felt sorry for him he took off his cloak and covered the poor man. Then, he continued going to his home.
Invisible cloak, chiếc áo tàng hình
Time passed. One day, while he was on boat fishing, he heard music echoing from high mountain standing by the shore. He stopped to listen the wonderful music. The next morning, the music echoed again, again and again in next days. Trieu turned more curious each passing day. At   last, he decided to find out who played music everyday. He brought some clothes and food made his way to the top of the mountain. He followed the music went to an expanse of short grass. An old man was sitting on stone slab and playing an ancient musical instrument and seemed not to notice that a person was approaching him. The old man looked like the person Trieu had met before that was the old man lying under tree. Trieu waited for him to finish, he walked toward his face and asked:
“Who are you, sir?”
The old man looked Trieu by warm-looking eyes then pointed the stone slab.
“I am waiting for you. Do you feel tired after climbing? Sit there and have a rest”, said the old man.
Trieu received the tea cup the old man gave him.
“Do you remember me?” said the old man.
“Yes, I do. You are the man who lay under tree before, aren’t you?” said Trieu.
“Yes, I am”, the man continued saying, “You are so kind as you gave me your cloak. So, now, I want to gift you another cloak”.
Then the old man took off his cloak covered on his back and disappeared at one.
The cloak Trieu received from the old man was invisible cloak which help him turn invisible when he put on it. He brought the cloak and journeyed around the country. He used to walk in rich men’s house, stole their treasures and divided to poor people. He punished bad guys who forced others in dangerous cases secretly. It wasn’t normal if a beggar who was lying on ground suddenly had coins dropping to him or a mandarin was beating others was suddenly beaten by his rod. Strange things continued occurring and became a rumor which spread largely in the country. While some turned nervous, others turned happy but all of them believed that God was observing them.
Trieu continued helping people in other areas. One day, he stepped on capital. He landed his feet on everywhere without prevention, rich men’s houses, nobles’ houses and including castle where none dared to come in without king’s permission. The capital prosperous city but it didn’t mean there were no poor people in the city. Many poor people and beggar were around on streets. Trieu felt sorry for them and had a reckless idea, stealing treasures in castle. He walked in king's treasury and stole gold and silver from that. Though guards could realize that they were losing treasures but they couldn’t find any mark. Besides, whole capital was spreading a rumor that a God was helping the poor and punishing bad guys. The God they said could appear anywhere but none could see him. Trieu still continued helping the poor and always thought that was his duty. He made rich men, nobles felt nervous as their money was losing though they set guards everywhere.
One day, while he was beating a bad landlord in his house, his servants sprinted to them because they heard loud noises. Trieu hurriedly made his way out of the room. Unfortunately the invisible cloak was stuck on a thorn when he went cross fence. The invisible was torn and had a hole in it. He filled the hole by a piece of white cloth and continued doing his duty.
King forced guards to notice to everything from the time he was stolen. He ordered all guards to catch the thief. Guards had tried their best to find the thief but their effort was useless treasures continued losing.
One day, while guards were standing at the gate of treasury, they saw a white butterfly fly in the treasury. They felt curious and started observing it. The butterfly felt around gold and silver bars then the gold and silver bars suddenly disappeared. They looked at others and seemed to understand something. Later, some of them went away and came back with an iron net. When the butterfly flew out, they immediately threw the net toward it and hurriedly leaped on the place which the butterfly was. Therefore, Trieu was caught. Guards escorted him to the king. The king asked them to prison him.
Meantime, the neighbor country was planning to attack the country. While Trieu was in prison, hundred thousand of armies had been in the country. The king had ordered general to fight   against them but they lost. Their enemies continued moving toward the castle and made the king turned confused. Trieu heard about the news so he asked guards of prison to meet the king and discussed about battle plan. The king was happy he ordered guards to unchain him.
“How many armies do you need?” said the king.
“I only need a sword”, said Trieu.
Happily, the king gave Trieu his sword and ordained him to be general. Besides, he ordered armies to obey his orders. Poor people who had been helped by him gathered and followed him to battlefield to fight against enemies. That was the way they wanted to thank him.
When they went near the place some enemies were camping, Trieu put on his cloak went toward their camps. Later, he came back with a head in his hand that was the head of their enemies’ leader. The enemies turned chaotic when their leader suddenly lost his head. They immediately escaped from the place to all directions. Trieu ordered people to prevent and catch them at all roads. When Trieu went to other camps, he also did thing like that. No long time later, all pioneers of invaders were destroyed. Others were frightened because they thought the country was protected by God. Therefore, they change their direction and marched back their country.
Trieu turned back castle with victory. The king was very happy he let him manage a large area and besides, he let his daughter marry with Trieu. Trieu became a royal with great power but he still helped others who living his area till he died.
