She was going to buy for her mistress, the daughter of Truong family, something. He   was very happy and immediately he insisted Hong Hanh to bring a letter and send to her mistress. Hong Hanh agreed and strode away.
The first time Thi received a love letter, she was very happy that something inside her grew up and bloomed. She believed that the owner of that letter was no one but the young man who stared at her few days ago. She smiled lightly as she remembered the man with handsome face. Then, she started writing on the letter with very little noticing. She replied his letter and Hong Hanh became their messenger.
It took no long time to them became familiar. They became friends then became lovers. One day, Thi did a thing what even girls who were bravest didn’t dare to do she made a date with him in the flower garden her family owned. Quoc Hoa sneakily found the way to the garden. Thi, on other side, was waiting for hin on the bridge. That’s the first time, he went out alone and besides in night. Hong Hanh, her maid, had to stay at home to keep looking on her room, prevent anyone to find out that she’s absent. It’s long time but her lover didn’t appear. The bridge was deserted. She hid herself in flower bush.
“Where on the world he is?” she thought, “He lies me?” she wondered. Two hours had passed, Quoc Hoa still didn’t come. She’s girl, alone so she couldn’t wait anymore it’s too dangerous. At last, she left, laid one shoe on the bridge. She wanted him to know that she had come and also that’s also a way she blamed him implicitly.
Few hours later, Quoc Hoa finished but it only had few hours for the sun rose. He hurriedly run toward the place but none’s here. Some sweet smell came in his nostrils he looked around to find the thing and what he saw was a shoe which belonged to his lover. He knew her implication at one.
“God!” he screamed, “my father has harm me. She will never believe me more”.
It seemed something inside him was broken. He hugged the shoe in his arms, on his chest. No one knew why but he fell down and stopped breathing. His heart stops beating and then his body turned cold.
Next morning, the general found out that his son was not in home. He and servants separated to everywhere, finding him and when they saw him. He had died, still laid on East bridge and was hugging a shoe. All of his relatives burst in to sobs. Later, the brought his body to the mandarin who ruled that area. They wanted the mandarin to discover the murderer. Then mandarin immediately knew that’s a love case. He requested soldiers to go and found the owner of the shoe. Soldiers didn’t need much time to find out the owner. They went to the Thi’s house and brought her to mandarin office. Thi didn’t need to try on the shoe, she at one sprinted to Quoc Hoa, kneeled and hugged him. She cried crying more loudly than even people, his relatives that made people who was in there got much more pained.
One more time no one knew why but Quoc Hoa revived. Slowly and lightly he got again his breathes. His body was warmed by his lover’s body. He woke up and it seemed he just got a sleep he stupidly asked everybody.
“What’s going on here? I think I must be on East bridge. Why am I here?”
He gave people an expression of confusion but they didn’t care. All of them burst in happiness, tried to hug, kiss and check on his body. Later, they left mandarin office.
Because of the thing, people in both families knew about their love and of course they had no reason to prevent them. Therefore, shot time later, a wedding happened and they became happy couple. Their names and their love case spread largely in their country.
