The tale of tiger
Once upon a time, there had an angle in heaven. The angle’s name was Pham Nhi. Strong and combative were the words used to describe him. Things as moving mountain, filling sea, pushing ancient tree were normal things he used to do. His ability had surpassed almost other angles including generals in heaven.
Pham Nhi always had things to do he used to find the strong to have a fight. But, they avoided them because there had had many strong angles who were knocked out after one punch. He became haughty when very few people dared to accept his challenge. He thought that generals who servanted the king weren’t as strong as him that his name spread more largely than them. But, the king seemed not to pay attention to him. Instead of inviting him to castle and giving him a worthy position, the king did nothing. Then, he turned much haughty, not respecting his king. He thought that he could replace his king, ruling the heaven. Therefore, he gathered others to fight against the king. His fellows were also strong so very few others dared to stand up them. Their force turned stronger and they had annoyed other times but none dare to fight against them because of scaring him. At last, he brought his fellows, went toward the castle to dethrone the king.
Hurriedly, the king ordered generals to fight against them. Eighty general, the great generals in heaven, set off but only three generals could came back, exactly they escaped from the battlefield and the others, course, had lost their lives.
Immediately, the king ordered fifty guardians to go and destroyed him but as fast as generals had they lost. Though soldiers of heaven were very crowded, they were broken and ran as bees broken-nest bees, chaotic. Soldiers continued coming but they couldn’t prevent his steps moving toward the castle. At last, they rounded the castle.
The king was very worry. He gathered his servants and discussed. In hurry, the king ordered a servant to go and beg Buddha’s help. Mean the time he heard the news from the servant, Buddha ordered Chuan De to go and catch Pham Nhi. Buddha had never thought that Chuan De would lose that he had to drag his legs back in torn clothes. Therefore, Buddha himself set off. While Pham Nhi was scolded the royals and generals useless, Buddha appeared in midair. Pham Nhi hurriedly ran toward Buddha and intended to attack but he fastly shrunk as if invisible power covered his body and forced him to be smaller. He couldn’t move, couldn’t speak he fell down, motionless. His fellows were frightened so no one said others a word they made their way to escape the place.
Buddha brought him to the king and asked the king not to kill him. The king did as Buddha’s words he sent Pham Nhi to ground in an animal shape. But, before Pham Nhi was sent to ground, the king took away almost his power by the way cutting off his wings. Besides, the king took away his wisdom that made him not remembered things had happened in the heaven.
His power decreased so much as he was sent to ground but his strength still made other animals scared. Short time later, he was known as the king of animals, tiger. His offspring, later, also had amazing strength that frightened creatures on ground including human. Ancient people called tigers Mr. Thirty because whenever a person killed a tiger, he would be presented thirty “quan” (ancient currency unit) but he also was beaten thirty hits to appease Pham Nhi’s soul.
Just thinking but what will happen if tigers get wings.
