Once upon a time, two people had names Giap and At. They were best friend. While Giap was wealthy, At was poor. Therefore At used to find Giap for his help. One day, At convinced Giap to lend him 10 bullion of silver then he went away to run a business.
At came to a south market, run business and lent to get interest. He was hard-working and mingy person, besides, he met some fortunes. Therefore, he became a wealthy person after less than 10 years business.
Though he was rich that time he ignored his debt on purpose. He tried to forget his friend, Giap.
In other side, Giap was still waiting for his friend’s news but he couldn’t hear any thing. He believed that At was still poor and wandering somewhere, addition, At didn’t dare to come or send him a letter because of the debt. That thinking made Giap feel sorry to his friend. One day, he brought some bullion of silver, went to find At. After many times asking, at last, he found out his friend’s house. He was very surprised as front his face that time was a large red roof house with great garden covering. He thought Giap didn’t need his help more. So he hid the bullion of silver in ground next to At’s gate.
When At met his friend he pretended that he felt happy but that time he was worry about his debt. He thought that Giap only went to regain his money. He felt unpleasant. He didn’t want to return this money it was a big money. Therefore, he decided the money had to belong to him. The midnight At woke his wife and said her his plan and got her agreement immediately. They kill Giap when he was sleeping then took his body and buried under a star-fruit tree in their back garden.
The star-fruit tree became more green from that time but it is so extraordinary that the tree only bore a fruit and the fruit was so big but At and his wife didn’t pay so much attention. When the fruit was ripe the wife picked up to eat. It was fortune as that year the wife bore a son. They were very happy because the wife had never given birth to a child. The child was so handsome and grew up so fast but unfortunately he couldn’t speak. He was 7 years old and mute. The couple was so sad they had found many doctor to cure their son but none could do any thing.
One day, when they were in dinner the wife complained.
“Son, I hope you can grow up as normal children, can study, can pass contests and become a mandarin. But, why can you not speak?”, she said.
Suddenly the boy said: “You invite a judge to come. He will have the way to cure me.”
Then the boy speechless immediately. At and his wife tried to ask him but he said nothing. At last, they decided to invite a judge.
The judge went with soldiers to At’s house. He had to go because At insisted him so much. As the boy saw the judge he could speak easily. He said that he was Giap and said the judge entire story that he lent At money, how At killed him and includes, he had hidden money under At’s gate…
The judge ordered soldiers to dug under the star-fruit tree and the gate. Of course they found money and Giap’s body.
The judge asked soldiers to prison At and his wife. The judge gave the boy At’s assets. The boy that was Giap came to his home. When he left his grandson had just born now he was 8 years old and older than him 1 year old.
Therefore, people said:
“Bearing son before bearing father.
Bearing grandson then bearing grandpa”
