Rabbit, hen and tiger

Once upon a time, rabbit, hen and tiger lived together in a house. They worked as famer. Every day, when two of them went to field the other would stay at home to cook. The first day, rabbit and tiger went to the field and hen stayed at home. After sweeping the house, the hen boiled a pot of water then she jumped upon the pot and laid an egg into the pot. As the egg was ripe tiger and rabbit came. They felt hungry and tired so the egg was delicious with them.

“My dear friend, how can you cook the delicious dish?”, said the rabbit.
The hen talked the rabbit exactly what she had done and the rabbit did not omit a word. The next morning, the tiger and the hen went to the field and the rabbit stayed at home. Before they went the tiger asked the rabbit to cook a dish as the hen had done.
“Trust me. It is easy to do”, said the rabbit.
After sweeping the house, the rabbit boiled a pot of water then he jumped upon the pot and did as the hen’s word. As all things finished the rabbit was gleeful to wait the others.
As the before day, tiger felt very hungry so he help himself to hve some pieces and put in his mouth but as he felt its taste he immediately spitted. He screamed and chased the rabbit. The rabbit ran but he was caught and was beatened painful. His head was banged against the wall times and therefore, his mouth was tore.
After the beatening the rabbit planed to revenge. Few days later, the rabbit and the tiger went to the field. The grassed they had cut was dried but they still didn’t find out how to carry them to home, the grasses would use to make their roof. Then the rabbit had an idea.
“We all know that you are the stongest. So you lay down and I will stack the grass on your back and tie them up and carry to home. I think we only need a time to carry all of them.”, said the rabbit to the tiger.
After stacking grasses on tiger’s back the rabbit tied carefully around tiger’s body rounds and including tiger’s neck, tiger’s feet then the rabbit fired the grassed and ran away. The tiger didn’t know he still carried the grasses toward home until fire caught his back and the moment he felt painful and confused. He screamed and tried to escape the fire by rolling but he couldn’t the rabbit had tied too carefully. He ran but the thing only made the fire become violent. At last, he escaped from the fire but his body and his fur were burned so painful and it left on his body black spots. Immediately, the tiger sprinted to find he rabbit but he had disappeared.

Vietnamese  fairy tales includes many stories as Tam and Cam; So Dua; Hundred – knot- bamboo tree... which were spread in folk. Each stories has  its own meaning. I think I can not translate exactly each word into english but I will try my best to convey its meaning to you. Hope you like them!
