Singer and enemies

Lang-dao village under Hung yen province, long time ago, was a place which bore beautiful girls who sang very well. All of them worked as singers.
That time, Daiviet was invaded by Minh a country was in the north of the country. Few years passed, they had encamped in all of the country. They placed two large camps in Lặng-dao village that was very firm but was near a swamp. Therefore, that place had many mosquitoes living in. Their enemies scared mosquitoes so they forced people to give them cloth and sew for themselves sleeping bags. Every night, a person was responsible for tying sleeping bags as others put themselves into then untying when sun rose.

The enemies was sinister they killed people living in the village to have their joy, caught girls and forced them to serve them, slaughtered beasts to make their party. All most of people had to escaped from the village to save their lives but a beautiful singer who was caught to serve them. The singer both sang very well and was great in dace. So the enemies very like her and she was also clever in taking care of them. Days passed, she had their trust. At last, they let her to be responsible of tying nad untying the sleeping bags.
The clever singer caught the chance. She asked for seven men to give her their hands. they planned to harm the enemies. She found her way to bring seven men to go in the camp and pretended as them. Every night, they waited for enemies fell in sleep then they carried sleeping bags throw down the swamp. Course the people had been thrown into the swamp was died without finding their bodies.
One day, the general of enemies notice that number of armies decreased. So he made them to counted everyday but number of armies continued decreasing. The general had forced his armies to found out what happened but they had never thought that they were harmed while they were sleeping. Then they thought that a god had done that thing. So, the general decided to unload the camps and went to other place. Because of intelligence and bravery of the singer the village peace again.

AtauYangBul’s power source things was hidden in Dark forest and stood by Black sea. They were spider webs in deep Dark forest and ancient trees stood by Black sea. It’s very difficult for people to find out where the spider webs and ancient trees were because very few people could go to there dark and dangerous. Most of people scared to approached the Dark forest where dangerous creatures stayed. People would died because of losing their way or they met the creatures. And in the deep heart of Dark forest there were spider webs which gave AtauYangBul power. Black sea it was a dead sea no living creature could lived after it touch on its water. There were on souls which were killed by the Black sea. But, there stood ancient trees, no leaves and dry twigs but they still alived and gave AtauYangBul power.

Vietnamese  fairy tales includes many stories as Tam and Cam; So Dua; Hundred – knot- bamboo tree... which were spread in folk. Each stories has  its own meaning. I think I can not translate exactly each word into english but I will try my best to convey its meaning to you. Hope you like them!

Ngoc  Hoang was king who ruled in heaven. As other kings, he had stores which storied all treasures belonging to him. The stores needed a person to manage them. Tam and Tu

Once  upon a time, there had a man named Tam. Tam was a musical instrument-maker. He used to bring musical instruments to other areas to sell. When all musical instruments were sold, he turned back home and made other musical instruments. One time, he went distantly. He met a man on his way. The man was under a tree resting. He felt tired so he approached the man and had a rest. They had a conversation and therefore, he knew the man was Tu. He was a trader but that time he lost all money. He was thinking about finding a new job to live, being a servant. Tam felt sorry for Tu so he gave him half of his food to Tu. “Help me shoulder my musical instruments till you separate, I will pay you some money”, said Tam. They went. Later, they both felt thirsty. They found the way to a well but the well was nearly dry, too deep to take water. Tu turned to Tam and said: “We have only choice. Thuong Luong was common name of creatures which are in people’s imagines. They are distant relatives of dragons. While dragons are worshiped as gods, the gods ruled rivers and sea and the gods can make rains, Thuong Luong is not respected as dragons that the creatures are too amorous, combative, wild, and have bad behaviors.
